Mechanical engineer with background in subsea and offshore drilling sectors, including on the design of downhole tools for enhancing penetration rates, pipeline isolation equipment and umbilical cable products.
Awarded a PhD degree for combined mechanical and thermal modelling of carbon fibre-reinforced pipes in deepwater applications.
Former research fellow on projects investigating composite driveshafts, sandwich structures and optimisation of state-of-the-art additive manufacturing at the University of Aberdeen. He is lead author on nine peer-reviewed journal publications on themes of mechanics/materials and additive manufacturing.
Expert user of commercial finite element packages for linear/nonlinear structural and thermal analyses of isotropic and anisotropic bodies.
Broad expertise in mechanical engineering subjects with six academic years’ of tutoring experience across undergraduate engineering and versed in international conference speaking.
